Terms & Conditions

The following Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, govern all bookings and studio hire services provided by SBL Studios ("Agreement"). By making a booking, you agree to be bound by the terms in effect at the time of booking.

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will not affect confirmed bookings that have already been paid for.

• •All bookings require a 20% deposit to secure the studio.
• •The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 30 days prior to the booking date.
• •Failure to complete payment within this timeframe may result in:
  • •Cancellation of the booking
  • •Forfeiture of the deposit
• •All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.

Your studio hire includes access to and use of the following during your booked time:

• •The main studio space
• •The breakout area
• •Bathroom facilities
• •The designated entrance and access areas to the studio
• •Any fixed or existing content within these environments, including fixtures, styling elements, and built-in features
• •Any additional equipment or items hired through SBL Studios as part of your booking

All areas, content, and equipment must be used respectfully and returned in the same condition they were provided.

SBL Studios is designed for professional, educational, and content creation purposes.

Permitted uses include:

• •Training and education sessions
• •Content creation (photo, video, digital media)
• •Professional workshops or structured sessions

The following are strictly prohibited:

• •Alcohol consumption on premises
• •Smoking or vaping within the premises
• •Any activity that is unsafe, unlawful, or not aligned with the intended professional use of the studio

SBL Studios reserves the right to immediately terminate any booking that breaches these conditions, without refund.

The booking holder is responsible for:

• •All attendees during the session
• •Ensuring compliance with these Terms
• •Returning the studio in a clean and orderly condition

Damage & Additional Costs

The booking holder agrees to be fully responsible for any damage caused during the booking period, including but not limited to:

• •Studio infrastructure, fixtures, and finishes
• •Content, styling elements, and built-in features
• •Equipment and furnishings (including hired items)

Charges may include:

• •Repair or replacement costs
• •Professional cleaning fees
• •Loss of business due to downtime

SBL Studios reserves the right to recover these costs as a debt.

• •Access is strictly limited to your booked time slot
• •Late arrivals do not extend your session time
• •Setup and pack-down must be completed within your booking period

More than 30 days before booking

• •Full refund minus a $55 administration fee

Within 30 days of booking

• •Partial refund (up to 50%) may be provided, depending on notice and rebooking ability
• •In some cases, no refund may be issued

Within 14 days of booking

• •No refund will be provided
• •The full booking amount will be forfeited

SBL Studios may allow clients to deliver equipment prior to their booking, subject to approval.

• •All items are delivered and stored at the client's own risk
• •SBL Studios accepts no liability for any loss, theft, or damage
• •Clients are responsible for:
  • •Insurance of their equipment
  • •Safe packaging and labelling
  • •Timely collection after the booking

Uncollected items may be removed after a reasonable period.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• •SBL Studios is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or theft of personal items, equipment, or materials brought onto the premises
• •SBL Studios is not responsible for:
  • •Indirect or consequential losses
  • •Loss of income, production delays, or business interruption

The booking holder assumes full responsibility for all persons and activities conducted during the booking.

Client Insurance (Optional but Recommended)

Clients are responsible for arranging their own public liability insurance, particularly for:

• •Commercial productions
• •Events or group activities
• •Use of external equipment

If required, you may consider EventSure Public Liability Insurance.

Refunds are not provided outside of the cancellation terms above.

Refunds will only be issued where required under Australian Consumer Law, including:

• •If SBL Studios is unable to provide the booked service
• •If the service cannot be delivered as agreed

Additional conditions:

• •Bookings are non-transferable without approval
• •Proof of purchase is required
• •No refunds for change of mind

• •Prices may change at any time; confirmed bookings retain agreed rates
• •Payments must be authorised and valid
• •Bookings may be cancelled if payment fails

SBL Studios reserves the right to:

• •Refuse entry
• •Terminate bookings without refund

…where behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or in breach of these Terms.

To safeguard the legitimacy of every booking, the booking holder must provide one of the following at the time of booking and present it on arrival:

• •Business bookings: A valid Australian Business Number (ABN) or Australian Company Number (ACN), together with the registered business name.
• •Individual bookings: A current Australian driver's licence — number, issuing state, and expiry date. The licence must be in date and shown to studio staff at the start of the session.

SBL Studios reserves the right to refuse access if identity cannot be verified on arrival, in which case the booking will be treated as a no-show under the cancellation policy.

We collect personal information to manage bookings and communications. All data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You submit to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.

If any provision is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions remain enforceable.
